Concert Halls, Front of House
The Front of House internship consists of working with the Performance Managers to prepare for each day’s event during Midsummer Night Swing and Out of Doors, and managing the FOH Representatives & Lincoln Center volunteers on site during events. Daily responsibilities include maintaining the FOH Rep schedule, sign in sheets, and posts; updating & maintaining the setup & supply spreadsheet; and preparing each day’s FOH Briefing. Other responsibilities would be assigned as needed, including assisting with paperwork or working on-site for events at the other venues managed by FOH.
During events, the FOH Intern will work with the Performance Manager to ensure all FOH Reps & LC Volunteers are on post and performing their assigned duties; circulate during events to keep track of capacities within various areas, and assist in managing VIP reception entry & exit. The Intern will assist with greeting & seating guests while providing the utmost in customer service. They will also work with the Performance Manager to help resolve any ticketing issues or address patron questions and concerns.
The FOH Intern should already have great customer service and communication skills and a high comfort level in dealing with the public, which will only be improved upon when interacting with a very diverse audience for both ticketed and free events. They will gain (or improve upon existing) management skills in overseeing the FOH Reps & LC Volunteers during events, and gain exposure to many other departments at Lincoln Center, including Production, Marketing, Programming & Development, and Guest Services, while working with them during both festivals. In a fast paced, every changing concert environment, they will improve upon multi-tasking and organizational skills, both in their administrative work and on-site event management.
Graduate or undergraduate students may apply. Theater, Dance, Music, Arts Administration, majors preferred. Passion for the arts, interest in an arts management career, administrative support experience and initiative preferred.
Approximate dates of internship: May 22nd - August 18, 2016.

Interns are paid $11/hour for a 40-hour work week. This is a seasonal position from May 2017 through to August of 2017
