Legal Intern, Summer 2019

Full-time, 10 weeks (May 28 – August 2, 2019)

Office of the General Counsel

Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts (LCPA) serves three primary roles. It is the world’s leading presenter of superb artistic programming, a national leader in arts education and community relations, and it functions as the manager of the Lincoln Center Campus.

Two legal interns will assist Lincoln Center’s legal department, working on a wide range of legal matters relating to Lincoln Center's programming, educational, media, fundraising and operational activities. In addition to drafting contracts, Legal interns will likely encounter matters involving copyright and trademark law, labor and employment, media law, governance, real estate, litigation, and other matters. The interns will also help coordinate the work of summer associates from outside law firms working on pro bono assignments for Lincoln Center. At the intern’s request, assignments may focus on areas that s/he and the Law School regard as topics of interest or opportunities for growth. Lincoln Center also offers organization-wide intern information, training and networking sessions designed to provide a broader view of work at a nonprofit cultural organization.

*Students are expected to apply for public interest funding through their law school.
