MISSION

Lincoln Center Education’s mission is to enrich the lives of students, educators and lifelong learners by providing opportunities for engagement with the arts on stage, in the classroom, digitally and in the community. Central to all LCE programming is its distinctive approach to arts education, which uses the study of works of art to foster critical thinking and problem solving skills that can be applied in all school subjects, align with the Common Core State Standards, and are vitally important to success in the modern workplace.

The Lincoln Center Family-Linc Program
Family-Linc is a discount ticket and family engagement initiative for New Yorkers who might not otherwise have financial access to Lincoln Center or the arts in general. Through our program, families get access to $5 orchestra seat tickets to performances across Lincoln Center’s campus, participate in pre-performance workshops and post-performance talk-backs with the artists and more.

RESPONSIBILITIES

RESPONSIBILITIES
In this internship you will:


- Coordinate with the Family-Linc Program Manager in planning and implementing performances and special events related to the Family-Linc program
o Help coordinate orientations for participating families in school and community centers across NYC


- Track and analyze participant responses after events
o Track information using our client management system Commence and Excel
o Cross-reference data with our researchers to ensure consistency


- Organize participant materials for events
o Co-create educational materials to be distributed to Family-Linc families
o Assist in ticket organization and distribution
o Draft correspondence for participants before and after shows

- Assist with Day-of performance events
o Assist with, table set up, workshop set up and ticket distribution

 

QUALIFICATIONS

This internship might be right for you if you have:

Weekend availability Preferred
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; Strong interpersonal skills in e-mail correspondence, phone communication and in-person situations, with colleagues and external partners;
Propensity to ask questions, Willingness to laugh at oneself,  Can bring a unique perspective to the internship and Passionate about arts management, programming and community engagement 

Interns are paid $11/hour for a 20-hour work week. This is a seasonal position from February 2017 through to June of 2017.
