Lincoln Center Festival

 

DESCRIPTION

Now in its 22nd season, Lincoln Center Festival (www.lincolncenterfestival.org) has been presenting a wide range of classic and contemporary performing arts at the largest performing arts center in the world. This is an excellent opportunity to be involved in the hands-on process of producing a world-class unique international festival and to work side-by-side with seasoned producers and managers.

Lincoln Center Festival (LCF) is the annual international performing arts festival held every July celebrating the finest in theater, dance, opera, classical and contemporary music, and interdisciplinary arts from around the world. Past artists and companies presented by LCF include Ariane Mnouchkine, Simon McBurney, Ireland’s Druid Theatre Company, the Kabuki theater of Heisei Nakamura-za, the Royal Shakespeare Company, Merce Cunningham Dance Company, Hungary’s Bela Pinter, and many more.

Lincoln Center’s Festival department oversees all aspects of the Lincoln Center Festival.

Lincoln Center Festival Production Intern 

Production Intern Working in conjunction with the Director of Production and the Production Coordinator, the Production Intern will help to facilitate all technical aspects of the Lincoln Center Festival. Duties will include assisting the production team with communications to artists about technical requirements, relaying technical specifications of LCF venues and resources to Festival artists and venue coordinators, researching and securing production rentals and purchases, assisting with creation and revisions of multiple complex schedules, and general administrative support required in a large-scale production office. Graduate and undergraduate students enrolled in Technical Production programs and those with a strong background in production/stage management will be given preference.

APPROXIMATE DATES of the internship are May through early August 2017

If you are interested in more than one internship opportunity please mention each internship in the same cover letter with compelling reasons for each internship. Multiple applications from the same individual will not be accepted.

Additional Notes:
1) Internships are paid ($11/hour plus overtime if necessary)
2) Interns must be matriculating students, and a letter of support from an academic advisor is required.
3) Internships are either full-time or part-time to full-time and may involve weekend and evening hours.
