Public Relations

The Public Relations Department is responsible for defining, developing, and overseeing overall messaging and media strategy for LCPA’s performances, events and programs, and institutional initiatives. The department operates within the overall Marketing/Branding Department and collaborates closely with the marketing, content, and digital teams.


As the Newsroom Intern, you will work closely with the team leaders, to plan, produce, publish, and monitor content on all media channels. This is an excellent opportunity for a student with specific interests and skills in telling stories via social media; video; broadcast; audio; print, and developing exciting ideas on how to tell the Lincoln Center Story to new audiences including those who have never step foot on our campus. You will also have the opportunity to create original, engaging content. Attendance at evening or weekend events will occasionally be required, and additional administrative tasks will be assigned as needed.

- Lincoln Center Festival
- Midsummer Night Swing
- Lincoln Center Out Of Doors
- Mostly Mozart Festival
- Live from Lincoln Center
- Programming at the David Rubenstein Atrium
- Lincoln Center Education
- Community outreach and audience development events


This internship might be right for you if you are:

• Passionate about social media, storytelling and digital content
• Experienced with social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, and Snapchat
• Knowledgeable in Excel, Final Cut Pro, iMovie, Garage Band, and possess good writing, and editing skills
• Able to take decent photos for website or broadcast
• Able to work well with others
• Highly attentive to detail
• Enthusiastic, energetic, and flexible, with a great sense of humor

Interns are paid $13/hour for a 20 hour work week. This is a seasonal position from February to April.
